Entrance to the property

In June 2018, the council decided to seal the road outside our property.

On entering the driveway, immediately on the left is a mature grapefruit tree.

Driveway

The house is 200 metres from the entrance. The driveway is a gentle slope.

The tree in the photo below is a blackbutt that was a small sapling when we moved onto the property 20 years ago. It now has a circumference of 2.3 metres

Entrance to track

Before the blackbutt tree, on the left is the entrance to the track which will take you to the top of the property 3 kilometres  away.

Orange, Mango and Pomegranate trees

Near the top shed is a mature orange tree, producing sweet oranges

Top Shed

The large shed about 100 metres from the entrance is about 13 metres by 13 metres, and built to house large equipment.  Power is connected

Three vehicles and a trailer are parked there and shelves against one wall and in the centre store and keep dry firewood.

Solar panels  are installed on the roof.

Top Tanks

Two water tanks are installed at the back of the top shed.

On the left is a 13,000 litre tank filled with rain water from the roof of the shed. It provides gravity fed water to the new house.

The tank on the right, also 13,000 litres is not used for drinking water, is quite old and is used  to gravity feed water to the garden areas nearby.

Water can be pumped to them from the tank serving the new house.

Fig tree

The fig tree is enclosed to protect the fruit from various native animals, birds and bats.

Cubby House

We built ths now derelict cubby house for our grandson who is now 22.

It could be useful as a hen house.

blue berry patch

This protected area has two blue berry bushes which produce fat, sweet blueberries about Christmas time.

The netted area also produces strawberries and sweet potatoes and pineapple

swimming pool

The in ground pebble finish salt water/chlorine pool is 10 metres by 4.5 metres.

It was designed for aqua fitness exercise.

The right hand side is 1.6 metres deep to allow deep water exercising and deep water running.

The left hand side has steps and has a 1 metre to 1.3 metre slope.

Two taps, one for the shower are gravity fed from the top tank.

Jacaranda and houses

Between the swimming pool and the old and new house is a beautiful Jacaranda tree.

By local Nambucca Shire rules the new house on the left is an extension of the original house, on the right and is connected by a pergola.

The pool blanket  is reputed, by the manufacturer, to reduce chlorine loss by 50% and increase water temperature with the sun heating air in bubble structure of the cover.
