The area around the house is about 2 hectares on ridge with land falling away on three sides
The old farm house was built about 1916 and the extension completed in 1999.
It has had a varied history and has now been recovered but not restored to pristine condition.
It was a requirement of the original allocation of land, possibly in the early 1900s, that -it had to be cleared.
Below is a photograph taken circa1920s to show the clearance by ring barking of trees.
